What are we looking for?
StellarGrade is currently looking for a full-time HR Manager. A successful candidate is highly organized, has strong communication skills, enjoys analysis, is self-motivated, trustworthy, and versatile. As a very fast-growing company, we require our perfect candidate to multi-task, learn quickly, and work independently. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing HR operations, implementing policies and procedures, and providing guidance and support to employees and management. The HR Manager will also be responsible for recruiting, training, and retaining top talent to support our business goals.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with employment laws and regulations, including company obligations.
- Manage the full cycle recruitment process, including creating job descriptions, recruitment efforts, and conducting interviews.
- Develop and implement employee training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, counselling, and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain accurate employee records and data, including salaries, attendance, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement compensation and benefits plans, including evaluating and recommending changes to existing plans.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and management on HR-related matters, including employee relations, performance management, and employee development.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination on HR-related matters.
- Manage HR budget and allocate resources as needed.
- Ensure HR processes are streamlined and efficient.
Qualifications, Experience and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
- Must be able to work in Canada
- CPHR certified
- Native proficiency in English and French (written and spoken)
- At least 3 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a consulting environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated success in recruiting, training, and retaining top talent.
- Proficient in Google Workspace and HR software systems.
